This Magical Flute — Thracian Kaval Players Outside of Bulgaria
Lyuben Dosev asked kaval players he knew outside of Bulgaria to submit their personal history with the kaval for this collection. Fifty-nine players representing 11 countries made contributions, and the stories they tell are fascinating. Lyuben hopes that these stories will inspire friends and loved ones to try to play the kaval, to keep spreading “the incredibly powerful and beautiful music of the kaval” around the world.
